Here we are, still here and in slightly better shape than before

This is Sienna, as she looked last week. All those great curls were providing her good protection from the barracuda milk teeth that the baby was using to hang off her ears. However, it was beyond dirty, so I finally took out the trusty clippers and

Now she is clean and has as much hair as I could manage to leave... not a lot.  Once she told Tinta to stop biting so hard, however, it was still game on, just not quite as rough.

Another view of the baby barracuda... Tinta... with her "milk chin" showing and the approximately 50 strands of white hair on her chest in full view.  Those are her only white spots except for the bottom of both back feet, which are also white.

I am sure that I am crazy, so you don't have to tell me, but my only excuse is that Spanish Water Dogs are like potato chips, you can't have just one.  And I am sticking to that.

Well, I may have lost my mind

Because this is what is running my life for the next month or so.  Looks like a schedule, right?  Well, it is!

Because Miss Sienna aka Sienna de Chesapeake

Has a "sort of younger sister"

Meet Tinta, aka Casa de Rancho's Tinta who is 11 weeks old

After a few days of figuring out who is boss (can you tell from the look on her face who came out on top in that part?) we are settling in nicely, practicing coming when called, not screaming in the crate, and not having accidents in the house.  That is our outdoor walk schedule and today we have been perfect.  Actually Tinta has lived here since Sunday and most days have been perfect and when they weren't it was generally my fault.  At least that is their opinion.

I have found how hard it is to take pictures of black dogs.  I am learning I don't need as much sleep as I thought and 2 rules of living with a puppy in New York apartments:
1. Sleep in black sweatpants so you can put on a jacket and go at 6 am and go right back to sleep when you get done.
2. Carry the puppy to the front door of the building, she can walk coming back but it is a LONG way when you are tiny and have to pee.

Another Fish's Eddy item

Wouldn't this make a nice Cheese Platter?

Fish's Eddy's idea of humor?

I can understand that this might be a joke, but you really have to be VERY careful of the recipient if you are buying this for someone else... I guess you also have to be sure that you are still going to find it funny in the morning if you are buying it for yourself! Or am I just being overly humorless?

one of the things I love about New York

is that you can find most things you even thought about eating. Affording them is another story, in some cases....

Gutted New York Store on 57th Street

I love the textures and the white on white overall..

The reflections from the street are also interesting to me, they seem to float....
